Seventh-grader Alicia Skolte took first place at the spelling bee, while seventh-grader Sara Wilrodt and sixth-grader Kari Lynn Finley-Cook took second and third. The winners will compete at the Southeast Minnesota Regional Spelling Bee in Rochester on Feb. 16.
