The Salvation Army was closing in on it’s $125,000 goal, and now the Red Kettle Campaign is over.

“It’s been a good year this year, and we’re looking forward to everthing being tied up toward the end of January, and getting everything totaled up so we can see exactly where we’re at,” Lt. David Amick said.

As of Wednesday, the kettle total was $104,000, without including what they received for Christmas Eve. Wednesday was the last day to hear the bells ringing at storefronts, but the mail appeal goes through Jan. 31, 2015.
