Evelyn H. Ubbens, 88, of Austin, Minnesota, died Friday morning, Aug. 28, 2015, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.

She was born on June 10, 1927, in rural Butterfield, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Hoeper) Ubbens. She attended school in Butterfield and St. James, Minnesota. Before moving to Austin, Evelyn lived in Mankato, Hayfield and Brownsdale.

Evelyn is survived by her brother, Henry Ubbens of Austin; two sisters: Violet Krause of Washington, Iowa, and Laura Freitag of Fairmont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Harold Ubbens.

A private family burial will take place at the Butterfield City Cemetery in Butterfield, Minnesota. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
