Peggy Ann Morgan

Peggy Ann Morgan died early morning April 26th, 2024. Peggy found out early April that she had advanced cancer and in the weeks to follow, her family came to visit and her son, Rod and his family took care of her.

Peggy was born on March 24th, 1949, to Josephine Gisler and Leo Mataka in Modesto California. She was one of nine children. She married Rodney Morgan Sr. on August 3rd, 1985. They had their son, Rodney Morgan Jr. On November 21st, 1986. Peggy worked at Younkers, Shopko and  Marshals through the years. The job that gave her the most joy was taking care of her grandson, River Morgan. He was the apple to her eye. When Peggy wasn’t watching her grandson she enjoyed talking on the phone with family and friends she had since kindergarten. Peggy also attended Bible study at Westministry Presbyterian church weekly. Her faith was strong, it helped guide her through any hard time she had throughout life.

Peggy survived by son, Rod Morgan; daughter-in-law, Liz Morgan; grandson, River Morgan; Sisters, Teresa Hansen, Margaret Abid, Mary Katheran and Carmen Ard. Brother, John Mataka. Lots of neices and nephews. Step-daughters, Jessica Morgan and Jennifer Sanchez. Cousins Jack and Jeri Morgan.

Peggy is proceded by husband Rodney Morgan Sr.; brothers, Don Gisler, Joe Divinchi, Arthur Mataka and Mike Mataka.
