Becky L. Herr, 67, of Austin, Minnesota, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at her home.

Becky was born Jan. 2, 1948, in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Clayton P. and Betty (Sattler) Jarrett. Prior to moving to Austin, she lived in the Ankeny and Des Moines area. She married William Herr in Mower County, Minnesota, on Jan. 17, 1992. Becky worked as a claims processor for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Des Moines before her retirement.

Survivors include her husband Bill Herr of Austin, Minnesota; one son Tony (Laurie) Ellis of Ankeny, Iowa,;and one daughter Trisha (Rick) Meyer of Austin, Minnesota; one step-son Rodney Herr of Tarpon Springs, Florida; and one step-daughter Peggy (Greg) Knight of Crystal Beach Florida; two brothers: David (Sue) Jarrett of Skandia, Michigan, and Richard (Marge) Jarrett of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters: Patti (Wayne) Maschmeier of Runnells, Iowa, and Linda (Ed) Kilts of Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding Becky in death were her parents; and one sister Carol Stohr.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Murdock Funeral Home in Perry, Iowa. Pastor Paul Burrows will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Prairie Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Murdock Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in her name and may be sent to Murdock Funeral Home, 1420 Warford Street, Perry, IA 50220.
