A local motorcycle group is looking for more people to hit the road this summer.

The Charter R of the Minnesota Gold Wing Road Riders Association will celebrate its 30th anniversary by holding its 20th annual mall show at Northbridge Mall in Albert Lea April 11 and 12.

The riders, founded in 1977, is one of the world’s largest single-marquee motorcycle association in the world. Chapter R is the longest running chapter in Minnesota.

The group invites all area riders, those wishing to be riders and people who like to look at beautiful motorcycles to the show.

Chapter R has about 100, with 40 active members, from Wabasha to Blue Earth. The club meets in Austin, as it’s a central location. The Northbridge Mall Show is a way to attract new GWRRA members.

Motorcycle safety is promoted through riding and maintenance seminars and on the bike riding refresher courses.
