Sylvia E. Brimacomb, 96, formerly of Austin, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea, where she had been a resident for a number of years.

Sylvia was born in Austin on Feb. 19, 1918, to Enoch and Belle (Holmes) Hall. She attended school in Austin. Sylvia married Maitland Brimacomb April 25, 1941. She was a homemaker and a mother of one son, Leonard.

Sylvia enjoyed coloring and solving word puzzles.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Leonard Brimacomb of St. Paul; a sister-in-law, Margaret Hall; granddaughter Jane (Neal) Holmgard of Fifty Lakes, Minnesota; along with nieces and nephews.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maitland; two brothers: Theodore and Hollis; two sisters: Doris and Bernice; and daughter-in-law Joyce Brimacomb.

There will be no visitation.

An informal gathering with family members will take place at Sylvia’s graveside at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Online Condolences-www.mayerfh.com.
