Paramount Theatre officials say the community came together over the past few weeks to make the 10th anniversary Veldman and Friends Christmas show a success, and the group is coming back next year.

“It was amazing, I think, for both us as an organization and for the community,” Jennie Knoebel, Paramount executive director, said. “People really made it a part of their Christmas tradition.”

The show almost sold out each of its six performances, according to Knoebel.

Veldman and Friends, consisting of Michael Veldman, Kaye Perry, Erin Schumacher and Brian Bawek, decided to come back to the Paramount and perform once more in part because of the huge community response they’ve received over the years.

It was amazing, I think, for both us as an organization and for the community. People really made it a part of their Christmas tradition.

“Tradition in this day and age is hard to find, so having the chance to make that for someone else, that’s why I came back,” said Bawek earlier this month.

The quartet already have committed to performing next year, according to Knoebel. Though Paramount officials and Veldman and Friends have yet to decide on the dates, tickets for next year’s show will go on sale Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014.
