It’s a wonderful time to see movies at the Paramount Theatre this weekend.

The Paramount will begin its campaign to show movies with “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the classic Christmas movie, starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22.

The movie is part of a larger campaign to show second-run films of all sorts at the Paramount, starting this month and running through the spring. Paramount executive director Jennie Germain said earlier this month that Paramount officials plan to show movies on the second weekend of each month except for April, and will release a film schedule at the end of December after getting ideas from community members.

Tickets for this weekend’s showing are $5 at the door.
