There’s no one reason to give blood.

Maybe you or a family member received blood, or you think that one day you’ll need it. Maybe you think it’s the right thing to do. No matter the reason, getting involved helps the Red Cross maintain a healthy and reliable blood supply. The Red Cross is a leader in research and testing to protect the safety of the blood supply.

They were among the first to develop and implement testing for many infectious diseases, including HIV, hepatitis B and C viruses, West Nile virus, and more recently the agent of Chagas disease.

If you already donate blood, thank you! Feel free to join us Wednesday and give blood here at the center. You are making a lifesaving contribution.

You may not be old now, but if you’re lucky, one day you will be. We look forward to seeing you at our many programs at the Senior Center. There is always a lot to do here. Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. Monday, we will be serving meatballs in the coffee shop. We are also having hotdish two times a week. Tuesday we are having hamburger stroganoff and Thursday we will be having scalloped potatoes and ham for only $2. You are always welcome at the center. See you here.
