When dedicated volunteer, Anita Ulwelling, passed away unexpectedly in January 2021, the Hormel Historic Home felt a calling to honor her legacy.

Annually, in early May close to Ulwelling’s birthday, the historic house museum celebrates two of her favorite things to honor her and raise funds for the 501©3 nonprofit organization she cherished.

The Spring Card/Game Playing Luncheon & Party will be held at 11:30 a.m. on May 2. Attendees will enjoy a served luncheon with dessert ahead of an afternoon of card or game playing.  Advance tickets required.

That same evening, starting at 5:15 p.m., Ulwelling’s favorite polka band, Barefoot Becky & the Ivanhoe Dutchmen, and an assortment of hotdishes come together for the Barefoot Becky Polka & Hotdish Bash. Advance tickets required.

Celebrate her legacy, support history, enjoy polka (maybe even dance a little!) along with Hotdishes. The Hormel Historic Home immensely thanks an anonymous donor who is funding a portion of both fundraisers.

Ticket deadline is noon on May 2 for Barefoot Becky Polka & Hotdish Bash. The ticket deadline is also noon on May 1 for Spring Card/Game Playing Luncheon & Party. Tickets are available for purchase on the Hormel Historic Home’s website: https://www.hormelhistorichome.org/calendar–tickets.html. or over the phone by calling the HHH office at 507-433-4243.
