The Southland girls basketball team lost its season opener to Dover-Eyota (5-0 overall, 2-0 Three Rivers) 66-41 in Adams Tuesday.

The Rebels (0-1 overall, 0-1 Three Rivers) hung close to DE until late in the first half.
