Rookie goalie Jaxon Friedman opened his Austin Bruin career with shutout as the Bruins downed the Jamestown Rebels 1-0 to open their 10th season in the NAHL Showcase in Blaine Wednesday.

Friedman, who is from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, stopped all 20 of the shots he saw in the win.

Devon Fields scored the lone goal of the game in the first period.
