Mary Kay Boysen, 74, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at St. John’s Lutheran Community in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Mary was born Dec. 6, 1944, in Austin, the daughter of Daniel and Patricia (Geise) Wiseman. She grew up in Austin and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1962. Mary then went on to attend Mankato State University for two years. On Dec. 7, 1965, she married Robert Boysen in Hayfield, Minnesota. Together they raised three children. Shortly after the couple got married, Mary and Robert moved to Colorado and lived there for 42 years before moving back to Austin in 2012. Mary worked as a credit collector for Alliance for 16 years. She was a member of the Lutheran faith and belonged to the Eagles Club and the Moose Lodge in Austin. Her hobbies throughout the years consisted of crocheting and collecting cookbooks and antique glassware. Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Boysen of Austin: sons, Daniel (Vicky) Boysen of Firestone, Colorado, and David Boysen of Austin; daughter, Dawn (Phillip) Hoskins of Alpine, Utah; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Audrey and Christopher Hoskins, Zoe Kersey and Alex Boysen; three brothers, James (Jean) Wiseman of Merrill, Wisconsin, David (Dawn) Wiseman of Austin and Steven (Darcy) Wiseman of Austin; and four sisters, Sue Stowell of Austin, Lorie Morgan of Winona, Minnesota, Carol Conner of Austin and Cheri (Ron) Brady of Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Patricia Wiseman.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at Crane Community Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dale Christiansen officitaing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorials can be directed to recipient of donor’s choice.
