Renaye L. Palmersheim, 66

Renaye L. Palmersheim, age 66, of Austin, MN, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. Renaye was born on July 22, 1957, in Austin, MN to Leland and Bernice (Nereson) Falch. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin and graduated from Austin High Schol in 1975. Renaye was married to Richard Palmersheim and they had one daughter, Erica.

Renaye worked at Quality Pork Processors and REM of Austin for several years. She was a totally devoted and loving grandmother to her grandchildren, and they loved her dearly. She had a kind and generous soul. Her sense of humor and Norwegian jokes will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Renaye loved rummage sales, shopping, and buying presents for her family and friends. We will also never forget her beautiful red hair.

Survived by her daughter, Erica Martinez of Austin; grandchildren, Jayna of Minneapolis, MN and Benjamin, Jacob, and Asher of Austin; siblings, Julie Peterson of Blooming Prairie, MN and Terry Falch of Austin; nieces and nephews, Fred (Cali) Vokoun of Geneva, MN, Valerie (Darrel) Leonard of Zumbrota, MN, Ryan (Bethany) Falch of Stillwater, MN, Sarah (John) Schaekel of Lonsdale, MN, Tyler Falch of Austin, and Moriah (Zach) Geelen of Austin; and former husband, Richard Palmersheim of St. Joseph, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Bernice Falch; nephew, John Falch; and brother-in-law, Donald L. Peterson, Sr.

Renaye is now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

A celebration of her life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
