The Austin girls tennis team had another strong performance from its No. 3 doubles team, but the Packers fell short in a 6-1 loss at Stewartville Friday.

Maisy Bothun and Tori Watkins scored the lone win for the Packers (0-5 overall) as they beat Stewartville’s No. 3 team of Anna Buckmeier and Mya Wangen in three sets.

“Maisy and Tori continue to play well and found a way to comeback and win their match,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “We continue to learn from our matches and are steadily getting better.”
