Packer tennis team drops two

The Austin boys tennis team lost to Mankato West 6-1 and the Packers fell to Winona 4-3 at Paulson Courts Monday.

Ku Reh picked up his first career win at No. 3 singles for the Packers (0-7 overall, 0-6 Big Nine) against West and Joey Schammel won his first ever No. 1 singles match against Winona.

“Ku played a smart match and used his movement to the best advantage he could,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “Joey played a great match and after losing a close match earlier in the day came back mentally and got it done.  Proud of the effort of the boys.”
