Austin woman charged with meth sales

Christina Aline Brooks-Greenback, 25, of Austin was charged on Wednesday in Mower County District Court with felony third-degree drugs-sale of a narcotic.

According to the court complaint, narcotics detectives met with a confidential reliable informant (CRI) on Nov. 5 about purchasing methamphetamine from Brooks-Greenback.

The CRI was and provided with purchase money and an audio transmitter.

Police monitored the CRI as he met with Brooks-Greenback at a location in Austin. Brooks-Greenback was seen in a vehicle, which the CRI entered. After the meeting, the CRI met with police and surrendered 1.493 grams of methamphetamine, which he said Brooks-Greenback sold him.

A review of Brooks-Greenback’s criminal history shows prior convictions for theft, disorderly conduct, drug possession and drug sales.

She will appear in court again on Feb. 14.
