“The snow is making us hopeful for the ski race next weekend,” organizers posted on the race’s Facebook page on Friday. “We have some amazing prizes for winners, from restaurant gift certificates to brand new snowshoes!”

Participants can still register up to race day. The cost is $18 for adults and $8 for children 13 years old and younger. It costs $5 extra to do both the classical and freestyle races.

Classical skis are available to rent for any participant who needs them.

The race day schedule begins at 8 a.m. with race-day registration and packet pick-up. The 1-mile beginners/kids race start begins at 9 a.m. followed by the 8K classical race start at 10 a.m. and 13K freestyle race start, 11 a.m.
