Quintex Javonte Calhoun, 25, of Austin, was charged on Tuesday in Mower County District Court with felony domestic assault.

According to the court complaint, Austin police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday in the 100 block of Eighth Street Northwest. A woman on the call said she wanted Calhoun removed from her residence when the call abruptly ended. Calhoun was outside when the officers arrived.

An officer spoke to Calhoun, who said he left the residence to avoid arguing with the woman. He said the argument was verbal and that nothing physical occurred.
