Arlene G. Tabor, 92, of Austin, Minnesota, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Society.

Arlene Grace Bly was born April 19, 1924, in Austin the daughter of Alva and Anna (Lang) Bly. She attended Austin Public Schools. In 1945, Arlene and William Cowan were married. William passed away in 1968. She then married Wayne Tabor in 1970. Wayne died in 1990. Over the years Arlene was a salesperson in various capacities, and later was involved in bar and restaurant ownership. Arlene enjoyed traveling and she loved to sing. She especially enjoyed her casino trips. Arlene will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Survivors include her children, Billie Joy (Harold) Moser of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, Ella Mae (David) Hartwig of Bloomington, Minnesota, David Cowan of Blooming Prairie, Debra Rae (Dennis) Knutson of Austin, Peggy Lu (Robert) Olson of Blooming Prairie, and Dale Lee Cowan of Austin; her son-in-law, Rex Buss of California; her step-children and their families; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; her daughter, Carol Ann Buss; her grandson, Michael; and her sisters and brother.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016. In lieu of flowers memorials in Arlene’s memory may be directed to Heartland Hospice.
