Easter egg hunts abound Saturday

There will be plenty of opportunities for Austin residents to pluck a little Easter spirit Saturday. Several Easter egg hunts kick off early tomorrow morning. Here’s a rundown of the events:

• The Westminster Presbyterian Church, kicks off the annual Easter hunt at 9 a.m. at the church at 801 Sixth St. SW. The event includes an egg hunt, entertainment by Jim Jayes, carnival games, crafts, food and a telling of the Easter story.

• The Knights of Columbus hunt starts at 10 a.m. at North Driesner Park by Queen of Angels Catholic Church. The event is held rain or shine, so dress appropriately

• Walmart will hold two egg hunts in the lawn and garden center. The first is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for Children ages 2 to 6. The second is from 11 a.m. to noon for children ages 7 to 12.

• The Austin Country Club will host a breakfast with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt starting at 10:30 a.m.
