The Austin YMCA will close from Saturday, Aug. 17, to Sunday, Aug. 25, for its annual week of cleaning.

“This is one time a year to get the nooks and crannies that tend to build up over the year,” said Terry Trummer, building superintendent.

The YMCA has hired a cleaning crew to dust and scrub the entire building and replace the carpet in the Kid’s Kove.

The front desk will stay open, and people can still conduct business and ask questions.
