Edith G. Morey, 87, of Austin, Minn., died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center in Austin.

Edith was born Aug. 16, 1925, in Doland, S.D. After graduating from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, Edith moved to Austin. She was employed as a teacher for Austin Public Schools until her retirement. Edith was a world traveler. She went to England and all over the United States.

Edith is survived by nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013, in the chapel at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center with Chaplin Theresa Turnbull officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa. Memorials are preferred to Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.
