Ralph Marvin Senjem, 96, passed away on Jan. 5, 2013, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, Minn.

Ralph Marvin Senjem was born on Feb. 6, 1916, the son of August and Susan (Spiten) Senjem in rural Hayfield. He was raised in Hayfield and farmed all his life in Vernon Township. Ralph was united in marriage to Anita Matter on Aug. 20, 1940, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Waltham, Minn. Ralph and Anita moved into Hayfield in 1976. Ralph enjoyed fishing, golfing and music.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Anita Senjem, Hayfield; daughters, Jeaneen (Mark) Staples, Star Prairie, Wis., SueAnn (Al) Collinge, Plant City, Fla., LaDonna (Bryan) Senjem-Olson, Pine Island, Minn.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Delores Fredrickson, Hayfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three infant sons, Steven and twin boys Dennis and Dallas.

The funeral service for Ralph Marvin Senjem will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Evanger Lutheran Church, 33554 660th Ave., Sargeant, Minn., with the Rev. Dwight Dobell officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Evanger Lutheran Cemetery. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements.
