An Iowa man is at the Mitchell County Jail after fleeing from police Sunday night.

Jeffrey Charles Butler, 40, of Northwood, Iowa, led police on a chase through Mitchell County, Iowa, Freeborn and Mower counties Sunday.

Austin Police, Mower County Sheriff’s deputies, Minnesota State Patrol and Iowa State Patrol chased Butler through Mower County from about 9:50 p.m. to 10:09 p.m. Butler was stopped by a Minnesota State Trooper near the Mower County/Iowa state line, according to Sheriff Terese Amazi. There were no injuries from the crash and Butler resisted arrest.

Amazi said Butler had several warrants out for his arrest. The case is under investigation.
