Lulu Rolf

Lulu Rebecca Rolf, 93, of Austin died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.
She was born Nov. 29, 1916 in Oakland Township, Freeborn County to Iver and Susie (Esterby) Nasby. Lulu graduated from Austin High School and attended Business College studying accounting. She was married to Floyd Gerhart Rolf on June 26, 1941 at the Oakland Lutheran Church. The Rolf’s lived in the Detroit area until 1946 when they move to Oakland where they owned and Rolf’s Grocery Store until 1976 when they retired and moved to Austin.
Lulu was a lifelong member of the Oakland Lutheran Church where she was active with WELCA, the church circles, the quilting group and in Bible study groups.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and nine brothers.
Lulu is survived by her dear nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; her God-children and her extended church family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22 at the Oakland Lutheran Church with Reverend Bob Berthold officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Hillcrest Cemetery in rural Oakland. Friends may call at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and for one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
In Lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Oakland Lutheran Church or the Oakland Hillcrest Cemetery Association.
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
