“We’re ready to go somewhere.” 

That’s what we are hearing around the Mower County Senior Center here in Austin. Well, we too are ready to go somewhere.

On Wednesday, it’s the “Fabulous Lipitones,” at the Sidekick Theatre in Bloomington.

A character comedy with music, it recently opened this spring. Lunch is included at the theater.

We will depart by motorcoach at 9 a.m. from Walmart. We will return at about 5:30 p.m.

Our May 9 trip to the History Museum for the Charles Schulz life and art, has been canceled.

Our stage shows continue to be popular. This is a list of some shows already planned.

May 30-31:  “Nunsense’’ opening night show in Wisconsin. It is always a favorite. We depart at 8 a.m.

We have included several other dinner shows this season.

Junes 27: “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Marion Ross Theatre in Albert Lea.

July 24:  “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.” A true story of her journey from teenage songwriter to famed legion. The show includes a cast of 29 singers and dancers and will be at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.

Aug. 7: “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.” Second date.

Nov. 13: “White Christmas” at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.

Dec. 4: “White Christmas” at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.

Sporting events, as in the Minnesota Twins home games, are also scheduled along with a variety of outings, which we will keep you posted on. We have two dates already planned for.

Venturing out on longer trips is also of interest.

This season we have planned an eight-day Colorado trip, which includes six different rides). The trip is Aug. 16-24.

Also, our trip to Greece is Oct. 16-24. These are fully escorted with senior travel our priority.

May  7: We are excited  to host a meeting with a couple of destinations in mind for 2025. We will have a  professional travel company here with Jan Mohrfeld, as she is continuing to plan and host these tours.  Reservations are not needed, but all are welcome, 2-4 p.m. at the Senior Center.
