Bruin defenseman commits to Lake Superior State University

Austin Bruins defenseman Nathan Williams commitment to continue his education and play NCAA Division I hockey at Lake Superior State University. Williams becomes the fifth Bruin this season to make his college commitment.

“I am honored to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey at Lake Superior State University,” stated Nathan Williams. “I would like to thank God, my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and my advisor for helping me along the way.”

A native of Racine, Wisconsin, Williams is in his first season with the Bruins and in the NAHL where he has appeared in 36 games and has one goal and two assists. Before joining the Bruins, Williams was a member of the Chicago Mission 18U AAA. Williams becomes the first Bruin in franchise history to commit to Lake Superior State.

Lake Superior State University (colloquially Lake State, Soo Tech, and LSSU) is a public college in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The Lakers are members of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and play their games out of the Clarence “Taffy” Abel Arena in Sault Ste. Marie.
