First annual Southland Community Foundation Pickleball Doubles Tournament to take place Jan. 20

The Southland Community Foundation (SCF) is hosting a Doubles Pickleball Tournament on Jan. 20 in Adams.

The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. at Southland Schools (located at 200 Water Street, Adams) and is open to the public. All skill levels and ages are encouraged to register.

The registration fee is $25 per person and can be found by visiting: https://smifoundation.org/southland/what-we-do-2/news-and-events/.  Paper sign-up sheets can also be found at various public locations in and around the Southland area.

The tournament will include a minimum of five games to 11; four games of pool play with a single elimination style championship tournament to follow pool play. Prizes will be awarded.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Southland Community Foundation, of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF).

The mission of the Southland Community Foundation is to provide financial support for programs and activities that enhance the Southland community. It serves the communities of Adams, Dexter, Elkton, Johnsburg, Rose Creek and Taopi.
