Dorothy J. Sundt, 88, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019.

Dorothy was born July 24, 1931, in Austin, Minnesota, to Everett and Mary (Christiensen) Staley. She graduated from Austin High School in 1949. Dorothy married James Sundt on Oct. 18, 1958, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. They resided in Burnsville, Minnesota, where they raised their two sons and Dorothy worked as an Elementary School Aide.

Dorothy is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: John and Jeanine Sundt of St. Paul, Minnesotal and Donald and Heather Sundt of Edina, Minnesota; grandchildren, Coleman Sundt and Jordan Sundt; sister-in-law: LaDonna Quick of St. James, Minnesota and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents; brother, Donald Staley; and sister, Evelyn Morrison.

Visitation will be at the Klecatsky and Sons Funeral Chapel located at 1580 Century Point, Eagan, Minnesota from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2019, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 306 2nd Street NW in Austin with the Rev. Madison Chelberg officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
