Allen Lyle Andree, 58, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, died Monday, April 9, 2018, surrounded by his family at Comforcare Good Samaritan Society in Austin, Minnesota.

Allen was born Dec. 26, 1959, in Adams, Minnesota, to Robert and Catherine (Williams) Andree. He attended Sumner Elementary, Ellis Junior High and graduated from Austin High School in 1979. He went on to attend two years at the Austin Vocational School.

He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking, crafts, making rugs and painting. Allen loved collecting stamps, coins, comic books and all kinds of memorabilia, including pocket watches and glasses. He also liked fishing, watching old movies and birds.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Rudy Andree, Sr.; and nephew, Eric Andree.

Allen is survived by his mother, Catherine (Kate) Andree, Austin; brothers, Robert (Miriam) Andree Jr., St. Peter, Minnesota, and Barry Andree, Austin; sister, Patsy Koontz, Austin; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Rev. John Schleicher officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Friday.
