RCC women’s basketball team falls to Ridgewater

The Riverland Community College women’s basketball team was close the getting its first conference win, but it ended up losing to Ridgewater (7-7 overall, 3-2 MCAC) 58-47 in Riverland Gym Wednesday.

The Blue Devils held a 31-24 lead in the third quarter after Sam Siskow, who had 17 points and 12 rebounds, hit her fifth three-pointer of the game, but Ridgwater answered with a 19-6 run to pull away down the stretch.

Hayfield grad Sophia Waldner had 15 points, six rebounds and three assists for RCC (1-17 overall, 0-5 MCAC).
