Sato named Player of the Week as Blue Devils continue hot start

Riverland Community College scored a pair of wins on the baseball diamond in Sioux Falls this past weekend and they also had one of their players honored.

The Blue Devils (14-2 overall) beat Anoka-Ramsey 14-4 and they topped Rainy River 8-7 and Asahi Sato was named MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week.

Sato, who is from Urayasu, Chiba, Japan, pitched a recent shutout win over Vermillion where he struck out six and allowed just four hits and he went 4-for-8 with three doubles and four RBIs in the weekend wins.
