The annual 5K Your Way Race and Fun Run/Walk will be held this year on Saturday, Sept. 9. All proceeds will the YMCA in Austin and the Women’s Leadership Initiative Backpack program to help fight childhood hunger.

Participants can opt to take part in the 5K run/walk of a 1 mile fun run/walk on the day of the event. All kids that participate in the 1 mile fun run/walk will receive gifts. Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female and top three participants in each age group in the 5K run/walk.  Each participant will get a voucher for a free soda, beer or rail drink at B&J Bar and Grill.

The 1 mile fun run/walk begins at 9 a.m.
The 5K run/walk begins at 10 a.m.

Both races begin and end at Hormel Foods Corporate Office North.

Strollers are allowed during the run/walk, but no pets.

Pre-registration before Aug. 25 costs $25 per adult, $15 per child 12 and under and $65 maximum per family household. Same day registration costs $30 for adults, $20 per child 12 and under and $75 maximum per family household. Same day registration begins at 8 a.m.

Register by Aug. 25 to be guaranteed a performance shirt.
