Look Out Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles 703
Members presented pins for faithful years of membership from Look Out Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles 703, Austin. Margaret Streightiff, Brownsdale, was named Austin Fraternal Order of Eagles 703 Sister Eagle of the Year for 2017 for her many years of volunteering. Pictured is President Elaine Lane presenting Margaret with her award.
Carol Connor of Austin was installed as 5th District President of Fraternal Order of Eagles. She will head up 5th District Eagle meetings in Rochester, Albert Lea, Northfield, Austin, Owatonna, Winona and Mankato. Her first district meeting will be in Rochester in August. Carol has served seven terms as president of Austin Auxiliary 703.
Duplicate Bridge
Tuesday, July 18, seven tables played at the Mower County Senior Center. First place, Gene Muchow and Ron Peters; second place, Joyce Crowe and Millie Seiver; third place, Lorraine Quinlivan and Barb Rofshus; fourth place, Loren Cleland and Dave Ring; fifth place, Larry Crowe and Dave Solomonson; sixth place (tie), Edna Knobbe and Rick Stroup and Vandy Newman and Bud Higgins.
Players were from Austin, Albert Lea, Adams and Rose Creek. All bridge players are encouraged to join us at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and noon on Wednesdays.
Wednesday, June 19, six tables played at the Mower County Senior Center. First place,Gail and Ray Schmidt; second place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; third place, Larry Crowe and Jim Fisher; fourth place, Julie Prochnow and Lorraine Quinlivan; fifth place, Loren Cleland and Bud Higgins.
