Southland’s Vasquez-Aguilar commits to Riverland Community College
After not competing for two seasons, the Riverland Community College women’s basketball team is hoping to get back on track with some local players next season.
Karina Vasquez-Aguilar, as senior guard from Southland, recently signed her letter of intent to play for the Blue Devils next season.
RCC head coach Douglas Waldner is pleased to have Vasquez-Aguilar on board with the team.
“Karina will bring quickness and determination with her to the Riverland women’s basketball program,” Waldner said. “We understand how important it is to keep our young talented local student-athletes here in the area. We look forward to working with Karina this coming 2017-2018 basketball season as a Blue Devil.”
RCC was hoping to have a team this past winter, but the squad was short on players and wasn’t able to compete in any games.
