The Riverland Community College baseball team swept Central Lakes by scores of 12-1 in five innings and 5-2 in Dick Seltz Field Friday.
Mason Ruhlman hit a grand slam in an eight-run second inning as the Blue Devils (17-4 overall) jumped to a 12-0 lead in the first game, but the second game was more of a grind-it-out contest.
“This was kind of a story of our season,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “We came ready to play in the first game and in the second game we kind of went through the motions. We’ve dropped a couple of games in doubleheaders this way.”
