The Riverland Community College baseball team had a total of 10 extra base hits as it swept Gustavus JV by scores of 10-4 and 10-3 in Seltz Field Monday.

Jake Erickson, a freshman from La Crosse, Wisconsin, went five-for-six with a double, a triple and three RBIs to lead the Blue Devils (21-4 overall) and Luis Rodriguez went five-for-six with two RBIs.

“The guys swung the bats pretty well and it seems like when the wind is blowing out, they sure like hitting,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “There was a little more desire to play both games today than other days.”

RCC swept a doubleheader from Anoka-Ramsey when it won 8-7 in 10 innings and won 12-2 in RCC Saturday.

Austin grad Alex Ciola, who had four RBIs Saturday, had a walk-off sacrifice fly in the opening win.
