Judith (Judy) Jeanine Thompson-Moon 73, formerly of Austin,  Minnesota, passed away in love and peace on Sunday evening March 12, 2017, at McKayDee Hospital in Utah.

Judy is the daughter of Melvin E. Thompson and Alice Mae (Albright) Thompson who passed away in 1979 and 1956 respectively. Judy lived in Wannamingo, Minnesota, until she moved to Layton, Utah, where she lived with Nancy and Vern Tripp for the past six years.

Judy was lovingly surrounded by her sister, Nancy Thompson Jacobson Tripp and brother-in-law, Theron Vern Tripp. Holding her hands and singing her hymns as she slipped away gently were her nieces, Danna Jacobson Allen, Jill Roush Jacobson, Blythe Jacobson and Carlson (Kent); her nephews, Dayne (Patricia) Jacobson, and Dathan (Lynell) Jacobson; great-nieces Lonica Jacobson and Machella Richardson; and dear friend Eva Bergius.

Judy is also survived by her son, Dana Moon; her daughter; her sister, Wanda (Bud) Overby of Austin; and brother, Quenton Daniel (Carol) Thompson of Fairfax, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin H. Moon; and brothers, Glen Milton Thompson, Benny Dean Thompson, David Edward Thompson, Ronald Franklin Thompson, Lowell Melvin Thompson, and Richard Gary Thompson; and sisters, Theo Elaine Hall Thompson and Sandra Lea Thompson Petersen.

Everyone misses the Sunny Little Lady who loved their hugs over and over!  She felt that each one of them was the very best person ever!!  She loved the scriptures and trusted in her Heavenly Father’s care always!  Judy was blessed to speak on the phone with her children and grandchildren whom were precious to her and with her beloved Wanda and Danny just before her passing.

Dana and Talia both expressed how Judy was the best friend they ever had; all their friends called her “Mom.”  She was the baby sister (of 12 children) and Wanda, Danny and Nancy loved caring for her and showing off our cute little sis!!
