Indoor cycling presents plenty of benefits

The weather is changing and days are shorter and cooler. If you loved riding your bike this summer come join us in our cycling classes at the Y. Many of our road bike riders come to class during the winter’s month to keep themselves in shape on the off season.

The high school added the cycling team to their program this year and those young riders have been in using the bikes to improve on their training.

Advantages on indoor cycling:

•Everyone can benefit from indoor cycling: all ages and fitness levels will find it to be challenging and rewarding.

•There are no complicated moves, techniques, or choreography to master.

•Indoor cycling is a non-impact activity, and causes less stress on knees, hips and ankles then other forms of cardio.

We offer three cycling classes on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and an hour long ride on Saturday mornings.  There are other classes that incorporate cycling into the workout.
