The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team overcame a slow start to pull off a dramatic 81-79 win over Northwestern, an NAIA school in Iowa, at the Worthington Classic Saturday.

The Blue Devils (2-0 overall) trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half, but they rallied back and they won the game when Marcus Wynn, a sophomore from Tromso, Norway, drilled a jump shot with one second left.

Jace Klinker, a freshman from Woodbury, led all scorers with 28 points to go with six rebounds and Darius Bell had 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
