MANKATO — The Twin Rivers Council for the Arts announces its participation in this year’s Shop Small Saturday event with its second annual Shop Small Artist Fair.
The Artist Fair, in conjunction with Shop Small Saturday, encourages holiday shoppers to “shop small” and “shop local” during the holiday season. The Shop Small Artist Fair will feature local community artists selling fine arts and handcrafted gifts. New this year, Twin Rivers will be hosting a Youth Artist Fair featuring youth ages 8 to 18 in a section of the Arts Guild. The event will take place at the Emy Frentz Arts Guild from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26.
The event is an opportunity for local artists, adult and youth, to promote their work, connect with the community, and gain monetary resources to continue their creative work.
The event is also a means of promoting Twin Rivers Council for the Arts as a arts services organization helping to promote and support the growing arts community of Mankato.
Twin Rivers is accepting vendor applications for adult artists until Friday, Oct. 21 and youth artists ages 8-18 until Friday, Oct. 28.
