The fifth season of The Met: Live in HD at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center in downtown Albert Lea will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 with a new production of Wagner’s opera “Tristan und Isolde.”
Since 2012, Albert Lea Civic Music and Albert Lea Community Theatre (ACT) have partnered to bring the Metropolitan Opera’s stunning series of award-winning, live, high-definition transmissions to Albert Lea. Each broadcast from New York City is produced with at least 10 cameras, meaning there are multiple points of view.
Onscreen English subtitles are available for all transmissions.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for students. You can also save 10 percent with a $90 five-ticket flex package.
Tickets may be purchased in advance by phone at 1-877-730-3144; online at actonbroadway.com; or at the box office at 147 North Broadway in Albert Lea 4 to 6 p.m. every Thursday.
