Flag football league

A preseason clinic with Austin High School head football coach Brett Vesel, his coaching staff and AHS players will take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday for all grades.

The clinic is at Wescott Complex on Hass Field. All league games will take place at Faith Evangelical Free Church fields. A youth sports jersey is required to play.

The cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members.

The first and second grade league will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. and the third and fourth grade league will run Tuesday and Thursday from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Cheerleading camp

The cheerleading camp is hosted by AHS cheerleading Coach Billie Jo Wicks and the AHS cheerleaders Saturday for grades kindergarten through fifth.

The camp will teach basic skills and cheers and it will be held at Wescott Complex on Hass Field. It includes a t-shirt and one night of cheering at half-time of the Sept. 18 football game.

Register by Aug. 27 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. Registration ends Thursday.

The cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
