NFL Picks: Teams are starting to sort themselves out

Here are the picks:
Indianapolis at Houston
Normally, I would go with Andrew Luck in a big divisonal game on the road, but this is a Thursday night games and I usually ride with the home team in these ones. Houston’s defense is good enough to force Luck into throwing a few picks and the Texans can run the ball well enough to make up for Ryan Fitzpatrick’s ineptitude.
Jacksonville at Titans
I will say the Jaguars are better with Blake Bortles at quarterback, but they’re still pretty bad.
TITANS 27, JAGAURS 17
Green Bay at Miami
If the Dolphins can pressure Aaron Rodgers, this could be a long day for the Packers, but I think Davante Adams is getting closer and closer to being a solid option and it looks like Randall Cobb has snapped out of his slump. The Packer defense has also been solid in 10 of the last 12 quarters they’ve played.
PACKERS 31, DOLPHINS 26
Baltimore at Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay has at least shown signs of life since their horrid meldown against Atlanta a few weeks ago. But I’m ridding with Joe Flacco and company.
RAVENS 20, BUCS 13
Denver at N.Y. Jets
Normally, it’s a concern when a team has to make a cross country trip for a road game, but that rule is voided when it involves a Jets team that was shutout last week. Expect a lot of rumors about Rex Ryan losing his job immediately after this game – maybe even halfway through the third quarter.
BRONCOS 42, JETS 17
Detroit at Minnesota
If Calvin Johnson can’t go, this is a very winnable game for the Vikings, and I’m going to bank on him not playing or at leat being banged up. Minnesota has to play better than it did in Green Bay, when just about every thing went wrong for the Vikes.
VIKINGS 24, LIONS 17
New England at Buffalo
This is close to an AFC East showdown we’ve had in awhile. Both teams are 3-2 and if the Bills wan to be taken seriously, they have to win this one. Unfortunately, I can’t take Kyle Orton or his mustache seriously.
PATRIOTS 25, BILLS 20
Carolina at Cincinnati
The Bengals will bounce back from their letdown in New England.
BENGALS 30, PANTHERS 17
Pittsburgh at Cleveland
The Steelers lost to the Bucs and they were a pick-six away from nearly losing to the Jagaurs. I can’t pick them on the road against a decent team.
BROWNS 27, STEELERS 14
San Diego at Oakland
The Raiders better be careful or they might fall behind Jacksonville in the worthless rankings.
CHARGERS 41, RAIDERS 13
Chicago at Atlanta
Atlanta is just a different team when they play at home as they’ve started off 2-0 in the dome and 0-3 on the road
FALCONS 31, BEARS 28
Dallas at Seattle
i expect a good game, but I can’t pick against Seattle at home.
SEAHAWKS 21, COWBOYS 20
Washington at Arizona
Is anybody really surprised Redskins players were lauhing after their latest loss? They’re team is a pretty big joke.
CARDINALS 21, REDSKINS 13
N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia
The Giants are starting to look like a playoff contender and Philly is suddenly starting to struggle on offense.
GIANTS 27, EAGLES 24
San Francisco at St. Louis
This is a very dangerous game for the 49ers. Rams QB Austin Davis is getting better with each week and this team will be jacked up for a Monday night game at home.
RAMS 24, 49ERS 21
Last week: 13-2; overall: 47-29
