Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin recently hired a new child psychiatrist.

Dr. Scott Orth received his medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. He completed general/child and adolescent psychiatry residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester.

Prior to coming to Mayo Clinic Health System, Orth practiced at Olmsted Medical Center. He is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Orth has appointments available in the early morning before school starts as well as after regular business hours to accommodate area residents’ needs and schedules 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment, call 507-433-8758.
