Mayo Clinic Health System’s Hospice department is offering education and volunteer training from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 10 and June 12 at Austin Hospice located at 408 Fourth Ave NW. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Volunteer tasks include sitting with patients in their homes, family support, errands, transportation, bereavement follow-up and office work. Participants may choose the tasks in which to participate.

Registration is required and attendance is required on both dates. The training is free for any adult at least 18 years of age and holds a valid driver’s license. If you are interested in volunteering or for more information contact Hospice at 507-434-1415.
