The Riverland women’s basketball team put up a good fight against No. 4 ranked Anoka-Ramsey, but they didn’t have enough firepower in a 54-44 loss in Riverland Gym Saturday.

RCC’s leading scorer Rebekah Aase had just two points in limited action for the Blue Devils (11-10 overall, 1-6 MCAC South), but the team still battled strong.

“I give my players credit for playing with a lot of heart and intensity,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “I think we’re ready to play like this from now on.”
