Doris Lundquist, 90, Midland, Mich.

Doris Arlene Lundquist, 90, of Midland, Mich., died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Nottingham Place. She was born June 6, 1922, in Albert Lea, the daughter of the late David and Flora (Hanson) Lundquist. Doris was a 1940 graduate of Albert Lea High School and later graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1943 with a degree in dental hygiene. On Oct. 11, 1947, she was married to Curtis Lundquist. He predeceased her. Doris was a resident and was employed as a dental hygienist in Albert Lea until her retirement in 1983 to enjoy many wonderful winters in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Surviving is her son David Lundquist and his wife, Jan; her daughter, Susie Staloch and her husband, Michael; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben) Lindwall, Jeffrey Lundquist, Julie (Scott) Menk and Amy Staloch; and two great-grandchildren, Esme and Kellan Lindwall. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Ann Peterson.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St., in Midland. The Rev. Donald Killey will officiate with burial to take place next to her husband, in the Graceland Cemetery in Albert Lea. Committal services will take place later in the spring at the cemetery. Doris’ family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of the services.
